Description
Codium is characterized by its bright green to dark green color, with tubular branches that split into two equal parts with a blunt tip. Codium is also called felt weed because of its soft, felt structure. Underwater it can have a white glow from the many fluffy, colorless hairs. Because of the full, aromatic salty flavor, codium is called a real topper among the algae. The weed can give a slimy feel in the mouth.
