Oysri are grown on Ireland's south coast more specifically at Dungarvan Bay by the Harty family since 1985. The face of the company is Joe Harty. Joe has his own hatchery where the oyster larvae are grown. Oysri are then put in bags and attached to racks (tables). In these ways the oysri are protected from threats and still grow in open water. Oysri stays in the same bay throughout the growth process. Once oysri consumption is ready, the oysri are sent to Krijn Verwijs. There the Oysri are watered and purified, again selected by appearance and size, they undergo all the food safety tests requested and are finally packed in the characteristic Oysri box.
