Description

In the waters of Alaska you will find the golden kingcrab. The golden kingcrab is also called brown kingcrab. The golden kingcrab has several species like the red and blue kingcrab and is the smallest member of the royal crabs. The legs (10-12cm long) of the crab are sold separately. This potent meat comes from the 'Mercus' of the leg. A leg of the king crab is divided into 4 segments. The first part is called the 'mercus' and is also the best and most beautiful part of the leg. The golden kingcrab has large spikes on its head and legs that are thinner than the red and blue kingcrab. The golden kingcrab is brown/yellowish in color and swims to a depth of 1000m.
