Description

The blond ray stems from the large family of the cartilage-like. In other words, like sea devils and sharks, they have a skeleton of cartilage and they do not have bones. There are many different species worldwide. In the North Sea the stekelrog, spotted rog, star rog, skate and stingray are among others. The species vary in length from 30 centimeters to 2,5 meters. The blond ray occurs in the waters of the Atlantic from Morocco to Denmark and around Britain to the Mediterranean. The blond ray looks very similar to the spotted rog but has more light dots on her skin. The blond ray can be 120 cm with a weight of 13 kg and swim to a depth of 350 m.
