Pike perch is from the great family of the Cephalopods. Cephalopods can occur in both fresh and salt water. Pike perch is probably the most famous species of fish in the sweet waters. There are roughly two species of commercial interest, the Lucioperca and the Canadencis. The first is in Europe and the second in Canadian waters. Pikeperch has a predominantly green colored skin with visible vertical dark lines on her back side, her belly side is white. Pike perch is a real predatory fish, which can reach a length of 120 cm with a weight of 18 kg and swim to a depth of max 30m. This predatory fish has a good set of very sharp teeth.
