Frozen hake lion with skin. The lion is the most beautiful and thickest part of the hake fillet. Hake is caught in the South-East Atlantic FAO 47 (Nambia). Hake belongs to the family of haddock which are once again part of the cod-cephalopods. The family of hake is large. Hake is a fairly long robust fish and has a slightly flat head with very sharp teeth. This fish is predominantly gray-blue silver in color and can reach a length of 140 cm with a weight of up to 15 kg. Hake can be found up to a depth of 1000m. Hake is a real summer fish and if the weather is favorable, it can also be found in the North Sea. Hake feeds on herring, mackerel and anchovy and even on squid.
