Swordfish is a spectacular fish, which occurs in almost all the world's seas. Swordfish swim to a depth of 800 m and can reach a length of 450 cm with a weight of 650 kg. Swordfish has a lot of horsepower under the bonnet and can reach a speed of 90 km per hour. Swordfish is also known as Billfish. Billfish includes the Swordfish, White Marlin, Blue Marlin, Hatchet Marlin, Long Spearfish and the Sailfish. All these fish have a characteristic deadly weapon. They have a strange upper jaw that runs out in a sword or spear muzzle, this is called Bill in English. Hence the name Billfish. To kill his prey, the swordfish makes a batting movement with his sword. Swordfish is a common fish but not everywhere is the population good, not to mention the sometimes debatable method of fishing.
