Description

Dog tongue is also known as Witje and internationally it is called ‘Witch’. Hondstong occurs in the waters of the Atlantic from Norway to Spain and from Iceland to Greenland and Canada. The dog tongue can reach a length of 60 cm with a weight of 2.5 kg and swim to a depth of 1400 mtr. Hondstong has a very small head, a brown/yellow colored top with a white belly side.
