Cuttlefish are cephalopods, there are eight-legged and ten-legged specimens. We can divide squids into three species, the Sepia, Octopus and Squid. A small Squid is found in the eastern parts of the Pacific. This Squid is called California Squid and is found in the waters of Mexico up to Alaska. This small Squid can reach a length of up to 28 cm. Like all Squid species, they move backwards. The Squid has a siphon with which it can move water. This siphon acts as a water jet drive. The California Squid is caught about 300 to 600 km from the coastline, which is why this Squid is mainly frozen at sea.
