Description

Toro is a very exclusive and precious piece of tuna in Japanese cuisine to manufacture sushi and sashimi. Each tuna has 2 parts of the abdomen. These parts of the tuna have the highest unsaturated fat content (omega 3). This marbled part of the tuna may have an extremely high fat content. If that is the case, it is not called toro but otoro. Saku otoro is available fresh and frozen. Due to the high fat content, the shelf life is short. High quality is available if frozen at -60.
