Description

Whiting belongs to the cephalopods which in turn originates from the large family of Kabeljauwachtigen. Whiting occurs in the Atlantic from Norway to Portugal and Iceland. Whiting is also present in the North Sea and swimming to a depth of 200 mtr. Whiting has a yellow-brown back with a silver-white belly and can reach a length of 70 cm. It is striking that large numbers can be found in the high northern waters. Small copies are often found on the Dutch exits.
