Daurade grise is also known as black sea bream or sea carp. The reason why these fish are called sea carp is because this specimen has a small head with a tumbled mouth. This is typical of a carp. However, this copy belongs to the bream. the Black sea-bream has a small head with a remarkably thick abdomen. The color of this fish is mostly dark gray, and has light brown stripes on the flank. the Black sea-bream lives in groups at a depth of up to 300 meters and can reach a length of 60 cm. Black sea-bream is located on the east Atlantic coast from Namibia to Scandinavia. This specimen is also found in the Mediterranean. In the summer months, Black sea-bream is sold a lot on the Dutch fish auction.
